Lent: Resist the urge to complain.

A friend of mine was recently informed that her work hours were going to be drastically cut. We, her friends took it worse than she did, and began fighting for her. She, on the other hand, just took it in stride, made some jokes about it, and never complained about the situation or the people. Her family and faith upbringing had instilled in her the virtue to not complain about anything or anyone. In her early forties, it has become a habit, and though she had many reasons to complain, she chose not to. (It is a good habit to form, and today is a good day to start.)

Here is a Lent activity your close friends and family may want you to continue way past Easter:

All day, resist complaining about anything or anyone and be thankful in all things.
