What if you knew your grandmother had brought
you a present, on your birthday. But the
day kept going on and on and on. And, no
one was letting you open your present.
How would it make you feel to not be able to open a present, you knew
your grandmother had brought for you?
What if your sister or brother told you, yes,
grandmother brought you a gift, but you have to wait two weeks, and only if for
two weeks, you do not yell at me, can you open the gift. Anytime you yell, the clock starts again. You
have to go two weeks in a row without yelling at me to get your present.
How would that make you feel?
That is salvation by works. You get to be saved only if for two weeks,
you do not yell at your sister. That is
works, that is law, but we are not under works or law. We are under grace.
It is NOW, and it is a gift of God to be received. It
is NOT about being good for two weeks before you receive salvation.
It is by faith in the obedience of Jesus Christ. It is
now, that you can receive salvation and all its attendant blessings.
