Don't be THAT older brother

1 Samuel 17:

28When Eliab, David’s oldest brother, heard him speaking with the men, he burned with anger at him and asked, “Why have you come down here?

Here is where most dreams die.  A family member, one who is older, wiser, etc., someone in authority over you, begins to tell you and remind you, of who you are.

The dream of reigning in life, is about who you can become, but a family member can only see you for who you are and they will remind you of this often.

We reign in life, through the one man, Jesus Christ.(Ro. 5:17)

As a family, as a community of faith, we hold an awesome privilege.  To encourage others to reign in their life, or to stay the same in their life.  We can fan into flame, a positive idea of reigning in life, or we can extinguish the flame, by criticizing and reminding a person, of who they are and minimizing who they can become.
