Wow! It takes a lot of preparation to find out I have a "normal colon". It kind of helped that I drink lots of fluids or the 4 liters of hydration would have been a bit much. It also helped that I fast for a day or so every week or so. The mental affects on the mind when fasting is tolerable if you have a little experience.
After reading my first book, one little comment from a fellow 'spin class'mate that I had a strong will to get up at 3 a.m. to run 50 miles made me realize I had lost that strong will. I had lost the will to do what it takes to get into ultra running conditioning. A few months in the will strengthening exercise of fasting and I can report that my will is getting close to being what it needs to be to train and run 50 miles.
In the process I also have shed 10 of the 20 lbs. I need to lose to get my BMI where it needs to be.
So... a normal colon is a good thing and my will had gotten strong enough to do what it took to get the colonoscopy.
How about you?
Does your will need a little strengthening?
Think back to what worked for you when your will was strong enough to do what it took to do what you want to do, and then... do it.
