Proverbs 31: 8 Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves,
for the rights of all who are destitute

No doubt the three kings witnessed social injustice as they journeyed from Persia to Bethlehem. As strangers on a journey they would have been limited on what they could do about any injustice they saw.

We who have lived in the same area for a long time may no longer see injustice in our community. It sometimes takes fresh eyes coming into our communities to see what we have failed to see for a long time. Will you be open to looking around for social injustices and use what power has been delegated to you by God and those in authority to do something about it?

Lord as we journey through life, help us not be blind and unconcerned for those who cannot or won't speak up for themselves. Empower us to be like you, the Great Advocate. In Jesus name, amen.
