A Blessed Halloween?

A blessed All Hallowed Eve on this eve of All Saints day. Halloween isn't supposed to be about scaring people, but drawing people deeper in faith and more willing to suffer for and with Jesus. November 1 is a day to honor the many who have been martyred for following Jesus Christ. The evening prior (October 31) has become something it was never intended to be.

Lord, help us suffer with you by saying yes to building faith, and saying no to building fear.

Halloween Parade Outreach!

The bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ has made every day, a day that anyone can enter into God's presence. There are no 'evil' days because of the resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ to the place of authority and power. We can join in joyful agreement with God's finished work, or live in fear, cowered down and be judgmental to those who enjoy Halloween.

Lord, help us to make every day, especially Halloween, the day that you have made, and we will rejoice in it.

Never give up

The Apostle Paul said, in 2 Timothy 4: 17…"I was delivered from the lion's mouth". I wonder how he got there. I also wonder how he never yielded to fear and quitting. Being in a lions mouth would certainly give a person reason to think, that "God was taking me home", or "God has called my number" or, any number of things that God's people say when death is imminent, or a situation is impossible.

Lord, forgive us for quitting when you desire to deliver us from the lion's mouth. By your grace we are saved. By faith we enter into your grace, and in your grace we are delivered from the impossibilities of life.
